We have color

This week while I wait on propane to be refilled I decided to paint my discs cut out by the CNC router.

The colors I select hold significant personal meaning, resonating deeply with the branches of the military I have served in. Below, I offer insights into the symbolic associations of blue and green within these respective branches:

Navy and the color blue: Blue carries profound associations with the sea and the sky, fundamental elements intertwined with naval operations. Symbolically, blue embodies traits highly valued within the Navy, such as stability, loyalty, and tranquility. Furthermore, blue has deep historical ties to maritime customs, frequently adorning naval attire, flags, and emblems to symbolize the principles and environment intrinsic to naval service.

Army and the color green: Green is emblematic of the earth, forests, and vegetation, all integral to land-based military endeavors. Symbolizing growth, resilience, and adaptability, green embodies the essential qualities demanded of soldiers navigating diverse terrains and conditions. Across military uniforms and gear, green prevails, reflecting the profound connection to the natural world and the mission objectives of ground-based forces.

These color associations serve to reinforce the unique identities and values inherent to each branch of the military, deeply rooted in tradition and symbolism.

The third color I choose is supposed to be a golden yellow. But as I painted the pieces they came out as a bright yellow, not the color shown on the cap of the paint or what it showed me when I ordered them online. So this color I will be removing and trying again with a different selection.
